Yes, even if you work overnight or your schedule changes frequently, RISE can still help you improve your sleep and energy. Some features work differently with an irregular schedule, and some work no matter when you sleep.
Can I set different wake times for different days in RISE?
RISE lets you set one wake time goal for weekdays and one for weekends. For one-off schedule changes, you can temporarily adjust your wake time goal the night before, then switch it back afterward.
Will my RISE Melatonin Window (bedtime recommendation) work with an irregular schedule?
Your Melatonin Window may not be a reliable bedtime guide if your schedule rotates. A rotating schedule prevents your circadian rhythm from settling into a consistent pattern, so the Melatonin Window will shift in ways that may not match the hours you need to sleep.
Will RISE track my sleep accurately if I work a night shift?
Sleep tracking can produce inconsistent data if you sleep during the day, since RISE doesn't automatically record daytime sleep. You may see gaps or inaccuracies in your sleep times.
You can manually log daytime sleep as a nap:
- Tap + Nap on the Home tab.
- Set your sleep start and end times.
- Tap Add & Review.
Other RISE features stay useful on any schedule
- Sleep debt tracking helps you prioritize catching up when you can.
- The Smart Alarm can help minimize morning grogginess.
- Relaxation sounds and breathing guides can help you fall asleep when your body isn't naturally ready.
