If you're seeing two charges from RISE, you most likely have two separate subscriptions — one through the App Store or Google Play and another through the RISE website. This can happen if you subscribed on the web and later went through the in-app signup flow instead of logging in, which creates a second subscription through the App Store or Google Play.
Because these are managed by different systems, canceling one doesn't cancel the other. Each subscription must be canceled separately on the platform where it was created.
How to check where your RISE subscriptions live
To identify both subscriptions:
- Check the App Store (iPhone): Go to Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions and look for RISE. If RISE appears here, you have an App Store subscription.
- Check Google Play (Android): Open the Google Play app > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions and look for RISE. If RISE appears here, you have a Google Play subscription.
- Check the RISE app: Open the RISE app > tap your Profile icon > Subscription. If your subscription is managed directly in the app (without redirecting to the App Store or Google Play), you have a web subscription.
If RISE appears in your device's subscription settings and can also be managed directly in the RISE app, you have two subscriptions.
How to cancel the duplicate RISE subscription
Decide which RISE subscription you want to keep, then cancel the other on the platform where it was created:
- App Store subscription: Go to Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > RISE > Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play subscription: Open the Google Play app > your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > RISE > Cancel subscription.
- Web subscription: Open the RISE app > tap your Profile icon > Subscription > Cancel Subscription Renewal and confirm.
Can I get a refund for the duplicate RISE charge?
Refund eligibility depends on which platform processed the duplicate charge:
- App Store charges are managed by Apple. RISE doesn't have access to App Store billing and can't issue refunds for App Store purchases. Request a refund from Apple.
- Google Play charges are managed by Google. Request a refund from Google Play.
- Web subscription charges are managed by RISE. Our support team can help with refunds for web subscriptions.
If you're unsure which charge is the duplicate or need help sorting out your subscriptions, submit a request and our support team can help identify what happened.
