How to connect Sleep Cycle to RISE on iPhone
- Open the Sleep Cycle app.
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Apple Health > Connect.
- Make sure Sleep Cycle has permission to write sleep data to Apple Health.
- Open the RISE app and confirm Apple Health is connected under Profile > Data Sources.
Each morning, RISE checks Apple Health for the previous night's sleep data from Sleep Cycle. When you don't use Sleep Cycle, RISE falls back to automatic phone motion-based sleep detection.
Note: Sleep Cycle may not prompt you to connect to Apple Health until after your 15th night of use.
How to connect Sleep Cycle to RISE on Android
- Open the Sleep Cycle app.
- Make sure Sleep Cycle is set to sync data to Health Connect.
- Open the RISE app and confirm Health Connect is connected under Profile > Data Sources.
RISE will pull in sleep data from Health Connect automatically. When you don't use Sleep Cycle, RISE falls back to automatic phone motion-based sleep detection.
Troubleshooting Sleep Cycle connection issues with RISE
If RISE isn't picking up Sleep Cycle data:
- Open the Sleep Cycle app to force it to send the latest data to Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Force-close the RISE app and reopen it.
- On iPhone, check the priority order of sleep data sources in Apple Health — go to Health app > Browse > Sleep > Data Sources & Access and drag Sleep Cycle to the top of the list.
- Make sure both Sleep Cycle and RISE have the correct permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect.
