Connect your Fitbit to RISE.
If you wear your Fitbit to sleep you can allow RISE secure access for the most accurate sleep data. When you don’t wear your Fitbit to bed you’re still covered with automatic phone motion-based sleep detection.
Instructions to setup Fitbit:
Open your profile (icon below) in the RISE app
Tap "Data Sources"
Scroll down to "Optional connections" in Data Sources view
Login and Follow the onscreen instructions on the Fitbit website
How RISE uses sleep stage data from Fitbit
RISE uses your awake stage to help determine your total sleep time and throws out the rest. REM, light sleep, deep sleep don't have an impact on how you're going to feel or perform the next day. Your brain naturally regulates and calibrates sleep stages each night. It is very good at knowing how much of each step your body needs. You can't optimize that process. What you can do is ensure you're getting enough sleep so that your brain has ample time to get its work done. You can also avoid substances that affect your sleep like alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine close to sleep.
Fix connection issues with Fitbit
Ensure your Fitbit is connected to RISE as a data source. See "Instructions to setup Fitbit" above.
Open the Fitbit app to force it to gather the latest data from your device.
Force close RISE and reopen
Still having issues?
Use the in-app app chat in your profile or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Adding a screenshot of what you're seeing for sleep times in the Fitbit app and in the Rise Progress tab will help us dig in faster.
We currently don't support this integration for Android, however, we're currently working on building this!
